:: the silent deviant ::

I've never felt particularly comfortable here on DA. People have asked me why a few times and I could never quite give much of an answer. I was looking for some beads for a project I plan to start within the next few months yesterday afternoon and my insane google chains lead me to look at someone's PotC fan-art here on DA... and then that lead me to looking at other fanart. It was a kinda sad reminder of why I don't put my work here. So enough foreplay... you might be wondering why?

I'm completely talentless. As a child my dreams for the future involved two things- writing and art. The writing went well, the art did not. I can see what I want in my head but can't translate it to any physical medium. Not painting, not drawing, not even digital work.

When I come here all I see are thousands of amazing, talented artists who make me feel as if part of me is missing. Strange huh?

You can look in my account here and what will you find? Scraps. And those are merely photoshop brushes I put up here because I needed a host for them. None of them are particularly good or useful. I have tons of digital (crappy) work done using stock photography for banners and message board related projects. At the boards I frequent I've always been complimented on what I do but DA's policies prevent a lot of the work from being posted here cause some imagery does technically infringe on copyright. Doesn't all fanart technically do that?

Anyway if you've happened by here and wonder why there's never anything particularly pretty, interesting or useful that would be why. I come here to host the brushes and on occasion to view great work. Sorry, I've got noooo talent just an art loving heart that beats for beauty and lives in the shadow of others.
